IK Multimedia Amplitube 3
more...- Overview
- Specs

AmpliTube 3 is the world’s leading Guitar and Bass tone creation software. Period. No other software product in the music industry even comes close to the selection, performance and overall sonic accuracy when it comes to creating guitar and bass tones with a computer. Now, that’s a mighty big mouthful of brag, but a wise old country gentleman once told me, “Hey, it ain’t bragging if it’s true.” Here’s how we back it up…
More Gear: Strength in Numbers
AmpliTube 3 has the largest selection of gear available, and our development team is continuously building upon that selection. In the complete AmpliTube 3 flagship full version, there are 160 individual pieces of gear to choose from. Plus, you can add other packages to the mix like AmpliTube Fender™, Ampeg® SVX, AmpliTube Slash and more and choose from over 230 pieces of gear. Mind blowing.
Sonic Accuracy: It’s a matter of Trust
While 230 pieces of gear may sound impressive, the most impressive thing is the sound of those 230 pieces of gear. Our patented technologies allow us to create the most realistic sounding models on the planet — so realistic in fact that the world's leading manufacturers of amplifiers and stompboxes choose us to create digital models of their gear that bear their name. We’re talking iconic, world-class brands Fender, Ampeg, Orange, Soldano, Seymour Duncan, T-Rex, Jet City and more, that have exclusively teamed up with IK to offer an ultra-accurate reproduction of their gear for the AmpliTube range.
Infinite Expansion: The Custom Shop
AmpliTube 3 is the only guitar and bass tone software that gives you the ability to add gear to your virtual collection one piece at a time. This is our Custom Shop feature and it’s truly visionary because now you can buy only the gear you want or need. And we’re constantly adding new gear to the mix with more hardware manufacturers partnering with us to bring their gear to your virtual world. Pretty awesome when you think about it — just like shopping at your music store, but you get to try the gear for 2 days before you buy it, and there’s no sales guy pressuring you.
Guitarist • Bassist • Producer • Engineer
Whatever your specialty, you’ll find AmpliTube an extremely valuable and flexible tool, expanding your creative palette with some of the world’s most sought after gear. AmpliTube 3 can be used as a sophisticated multi-effects processor in its standalone version that you can integrate into your live rig thanks to its instantaneous preset switching. AmpliTube is also a plug-in for your DAW for live tracking or re-amping guitar and bass tracks, or for having an arsenal of vintage and modern effects to apply also on synthesizers and instruments, vocals, drum tracks and more.
There’s an AmpliTube for you
AmpliTube 3 is available as full version (with 160 gear models included) or free version (with 24 gear models), or in special dedicated collection versions of the Powered by AmpliTube family like Amplitube Slash, AmpliTube Metal and AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix™ (AmpliTube Metal and AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix™ models are included in the full version) or branded version like AmpliTube Fender™ or Ampeg® SVX. All these versions share the same framework of features and functionalities, but with different collections of gear. Plus you can add any gear to the version you choose via the Custom Shop feature currently with over 230 gear models and more added frequently.
How it works
Chances are, you already know how it works. We designed AmpliTube 3 to be so familiar and intuitive in its operation that you don’t really need a manual or an engineering degree to operate it (we do, however provide a manual, just not an engineering degree). Here’s how it works…
-
Get Connected
To use AmpliTube as a guitar or bass tone machine, you have to connect your guitar to your computer. You do this with what’s called an “audio interface” (we make some really good ones, click here to check them out). Once connected AmpliTube gives you the exact signal chain you’d use live and/or in studio: tuner —> pedalboards —> amp heads —> speaker cabs —> mics with room effects —> rack effects. Plus, you can configure two complete rigs and run in stereo.
-
Signal Chain
There are also eight different series/parallel “routing” options available that give you total signal chain control, allowing you to configure tones for every possible playing scenario. You can select different configurations on the fly as you see fit: dual pedal boards running into a single amp head split to two cabs with different mic sets for each running into a single rack with a compressor and graphic eq, just as an example. The combinations are endless.
-
Speaker, Mic and Room Control
AmpliTube 3 features an incredibly detailed cabinet, microphone and room module that lets you virtually recreate your favorite recording space. You can mic your cabinet with two mics and freely place the mics around the speaker to find the “sweet” spot. You can also control the mix between mic 1 and mic 2, and change the overall “depth” of the cabinet itself. Then, you can control the room reflection and ambience utilizing the room mic positioning tool. All of mic placement options are freely movable (just click and drag), so making adjustments to the room vibe are a breeze.
-
Presets – The key to live performance
The entire AmpliTube chain can be easily saved, organized and recalled through the advanced built-in preset browser. Presets can be tagged and stored using a series of searchable, user defined keywords and attributes. Plus, the online preset XChange service allows users to post and share presets they created, with a growing community of AmpliTube users.
You can save presets for a single piece of gear, or for a complete signal chain. Presets can be organized and stored in up to 4,000 patch locations, in banks of A-B-C-D patches, that make AmpliTube ideal for using it live with MIDI floor controller pedalboards.
-
Universal MIDI Control
You can control AmpliTube live using IK dedicated guitar and bass interface and controllers such as StompIO, StealthPedal or StealhBoard with direct programming of the controller using AmpliTube graphical interface, or you can quickly configure it to be used with any traditional MIDI controller by quickly associating patches to MIDI program changes and knobs, switches, pedals to MIDI continuous controller, using the included MIDI learn function.
-
High Resolution Sound
AmpliTube can work as a 64 bit plug-in for the most popular DAW (such as Pro Tools, Logic, GarageBand, Cubase, Live, Reaper) or can be used in stand-alone mode in Mac OS X and Windows. The plug-in and standalone versions offer the same function and sound, but the standalone version also offers a built-in four-track recorder so you can capture your ideas at the moment of inspiration. Both the standalone and plug-in versions are included when you install AmpliTube. Rock On!

IK Multimedia Amplitube Jimi Hendrix
more...- Overview
- Specs

When you think of the modern electric guitar, no doubt certain images pop into your head. However, perhaps none are more ubiquitous than the legendary Jimi Hendrix.
Sonic Alchemy – the Hendrix Formula
His sound is a unique mix of high volume overdriven tube amps, feedback control and an exclusive use of stompbox guitar effects, which was a breakthrough for that era. Hendrix was one of the first guitarists to really experiment with the full sonic expressive possibilities of electronic effects, which were a fundamental part of his sound. Electronic effects were a technological novelty in the 60’s and in many respects, Hendrix was a pioneer in the use of effects to craft unusual guitar tones. Now, you can use the same gear…
AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix™ is the officially licensed collection of gear that Jimi used exclusively in the studio and on tour. You’ll be able to plug into the same stuff Jimi used to create the sounds that to this day are still regarded as THE voice of the electric guitar — the sound that will bring you back to the Woodstock era.
You can use the AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix™ package as a standalone app complete with a 4-track recorder and speed control, or as a tone powerhouse plug-in for your favorite DAW.
Get the complete set-up, or one piece of gear at a time
AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix™ features the same control and function as our flagship AmpliTube 3 software format, and you can also add Hendrix gear through the AmpliTube Custom Shop feature that’s built into every AmpliTube product. So, you can purchase the “whole enchilada,” or just one spectacular piece of gear at a time — it’s your choice.
Re-Write History: Mix and match Preamp, EQ and Power Sections
Not only do you get the gear he used, but AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix™ allows you to do something that up to now, only amp designers have been able to do: mix and match the electronic component “sections” of the guitar amp. With 4 pre-amp models, 4 Eqs, 4 power amps, 7 cabinets and 5 different microphones, you’ll be able to create your own “Frankenstein” creation from classic vintage amps. This unique AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix™ feature offers guitarists the ability to get more sounds than any other guitar modeling processor, be it hardware or software.
AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix™ can be used not only to recreate the authentic tones of popular Hendrix tunes, but is also a fantastic tool for many styles of modern rock music from hard rock to punk, alternative, progressive and pop.
Discography: The Hendrix Presets
Included in the AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix™ package are tone presets for Jimi’s discography, covering the sound settings for virtually every part of every song from his studio recordings. Go ahead, play with them. Experiment. Mix ‘em up. They’re a great springboard — it’s what we as guitar players do. Now, you can truly get that “Hendrix” tone, and more.
How it works
Chances are, you already know how it works. We designed AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix™ to be so familiar and intuitive in its operation that you don’t really need a manual or an engineering degree to operate it (we do, however provide a manual, just not an engineering degree). But just in case…

The combinations are endless.
- Speaker, Mic and Room Control
What you’ll be amazed by is the speaker section… it features an incredibly detailed cabinet, microphone and room module that lets you virtually recreate your favorite recording space. You can mic your cabinet with two mics and freely place the mics around the speaker to find the “sweet” spot. You can also control the mix between mic 1 and mic 2, and change the overall “depth” of the cabinet itself. All of mic placement options are freely movable (just click and drag), so making adjustments to the “recording space” vibe are a breeze.
- Presets – The Jimi Anthology
The preset section of AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix™ features preset sound settings for the entire selection of studio recordings, divided by song and then by song parts. You can use these as a starting point, then modify the settings to your liking.
You can save presets for a single piece of gear, or for a complete signal chain. Presets can be organized and stored in up to 4,000 patch locations, in banks of A-B-C-D patches, that make AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix™ ideal for using it live with MIDI floor controller pedalboards.

Image Line Harmor
more...- Overview
- Specs

Powerful additive / subtractive synthesizer, image synthesizer and audio resynthesizer
Harmor is driven by a powerful additive synthesis engine. You don't just select filter types, you draw them. You wanted more, so also featured is the multipoint envelope editor of sytrus fame, applied to over 40 parameters, in 2 independent parts. Through the same envelope/mappings, randomize any parameter or link it to key or velocity, and even fine-tune each unison voice independently.
Processing units can be rearranged in a semi-modular way. If you need one of the 2 filter units processed after the blur unit, that's no problem. Because it typically requires manipulating large amounts (up to 500 per voice) of partials over time, additive synthesis is hard to handle. No human can (or even wants to) edit 500 envelopes, but editing 2d images, that we can do easily. Get access to gain & pitch planes which you can tweak in the image editor of your choice, and import any bitmap, even if it wasn't designed to be turned into audio, it might still sound interesting.
Being an additive synthesizer, Harmor can resynthesize audio files as well. The reproduction will be faithful, not a vague sound-alike as in many additive synthesizers. Resynthesis can of course be tweaked, providing time stretching, pitch shifting, or less conventional manipulations of partials.
Key Features:
- CPU efficency is comparable to that of subtractive synthesizers
- Offers more freedom over oscillators, filters & phasers
- Draw your filter types
- Fine-tune each unison voice independently
- Editing can be done in 2D images
Specifications:
- 2Ghz AMD or Intel Pentium 3 compatible CPU with full SSE1 support
- 512Mb RAM.
- 30Mb free disc space.
- DirectSound or ASIO compatible soundcard.

Image Line Morphine
more...- Overview
- Specs

A SMALL REVOLUTION
Morphine is a powerful Additive Synthesizer with a logical, flexible architecture that allows you to create any sound. You can do this directly by adjusting harmonics manually or by taking any input sample and resynthesizing it into one of 4 independent voices.
Additive Synthesis has been considered one of the most desirable ways to emulate real instruments or to create new sounds. However, Additive Synthesis has proved both technically and conceptually difficult to implement, requiring expensive computational algorithms and hardware.
Key Features:
- High quality sound engine optimized for low CPU usage and fast amplitude and frequency modulation response.
- 4 independent “Generators” per voice
- Keyboard layering with 128 unique Keyboard Zones.
- Unlimited number of harmonic “snapshots” (breakpoints) per spectrum.
- Amplitude, Detune, Panning control for all harmonics.
- Filtering and Velocity response for each Generator source.
- Highly CPU optimized, accurate Resynthesis allowing emulation of audio samples with high precision.
- Manual override options for the resynthesis process to achieve most accurate emulations.
- Ability to import waveshapes from audio file.
- Variable-time control for spectra, mix/morph envelopes (can also be linked to key number, velocity or any other controller).
- 4 PWM Filters (spectral emulation of comb filtering, unison or pulse-width)
- Additional generator that allows any Noise Sample audio file to be mixed with the synthesized sound, complete with filtering.
- Morphing path, morphs harmonics in real-time, controlled internally or from external modulation source/s.
- Morphing Square, mixes the 4 Generator sources with a single convenient interface.
- 4 multipoint (EG) envelopes can be routed to many internal Morphine controls
- 1 to 32 note polyphony, user selectable.
- ADSR master envelope
- Velocity response is adjustable.
- Up to 5 built-in simultaneous effects: Chorus, Delay, Reverb, Equalizer, Distortion.
- Attractive, user friendly interface, developed through 1000’s of man-hours testing and development.

MORPHINE CHANGES EVERYTHING!
Morphine introduces a minor revolution to the world of Additive Synthesis. With low CPU usage algorithms that retain a warm sound without sacrificing articulation accuracy, and a flexible architecture, Morphine moves instantly to the top of its class.
RESYNTHESIS
Be inspired. Resynthesis allows you to capture a complete spectrum from any audio sample, for accurate emulation of real instruments, or as a starting point for something completely new, using the in-built editing tools. Unlike the resynthesis of other additive synthesizers, Morphine provides total control so the resynthesized sounds are as close to the original sample as possible.
STANDALONE
Next to the VSTi & AudioUnits version we have developed a bi-platform minihost that allows you to enjoy Morphine without using a sequencer or host. You can just start it as a standalone application and play it with your midi or PC keyboard.

more...- Overview
- Specs

PoiZone is a subtractive software synthesizer designed to bring you professional quality results, without a learning curve that hinders your creativity. The concept behind PoiZone was to design a synthesizer that had the smallest number of controls while providing the maximum flexibility and features. Useless knobs were ruthlessly removed so what remains is a UI where every knob counts. Once you have spent some time auditioning the preset patches we are sure you will agree that PoiZone packs a lot of punch in what appears to be a simple package, enjoy!
Key Features:
- 2 oscillators that can produce the two most popular and useful shapes for subtractive synthesis: fat, bright SAW and PULSE shapes, with adjustable pulse width
- Noise generator
- Ring modulation
- Sync modulation
- 16 voice polyphony
- 4 voice UNISON with user-adjustable stereo panning and 'Octaver'. The Octaver expands the harmonic range and flexibility of the unison sound to support the creation of realistic 'vox-like' effects
- 2 ADSR envelope generators. One for traditional envelope duties, the other can be user assigned
- 3 FILTER modes - low pass, band pass and high pass. PoiZone features a warm, super-trooper-extra-analog-moog-like-mega filter with self oscillation. Special attention has been given to precise filter tuning so that when KEYTRK is set to maximum, the PoiZone filter will track keyboard frequency precisely so it can be used as an oscillator. The PoiZone filter has bright and clean sound or it can be 'grungy' and 'angry' when resonance is introduced as it features some light distortion. And even with distortion the filter sounds clean on high frequencies as it has no aliasing
- Keyboard and Velocity tracking for the filter
- Multi-mode Arpeggiator
- Noise Gate with an adjustable 16 step pattern. The gate features smoothness control and the ability to import/export patterns to .fxp files
- DELAY effect, with tempo-synced click-free stereo delays and delay time modulation. Lo-cut and hi-cut for trancers!
- CHORUS with a warm sound with great unison emulation
- MIDI learn feature with the ability to save/load MIDI setups to/from a patch
- LFO and MOD WHEEL modulation. Can be assigned to a wide range of performance parameters in PoiZone
- 330 high quality factory sounds.

Reproduce the delicate pluck of a single string
Sakura can reproduce the delicate pluck of a single string, a violins bowing or the sonorous resonance of a grand piano. Most importantly, the curious musician can take control of every aspect of the simulation to create fantastic instruments. Ever wanted to know what a 20 foot guitar sounded like? Or a bowed piano? Now you can find out, Sakura opens up a world of string modelling possibilities, why not download the Sakura demo and try it for yourself. The Sakurazensen is coming, be there to experience it. Like the transient beauty of Sakura (Japanese for Cherry Blossom), the sound of stringed instruments blossoms and fades. Image-Line brings you ‘Sakura’, the string physical modelling instrument, to express the delicacy and beauty of stringed sounds.
Key Features:
- Contact - An impulse, the mechanical contact with the string, is first generated then shaped to simulate plucks, picks, scrapes, hammers, taps or humble fingers.
